Puppy Kindergarten (8 – 20 weeks)

Basic Manners for Adult Dogs
Belchertown: Thursday, 1/11 – 7:30 pm ($100)
Springfield: Tuesday, 1/9 at 7:30 am ($110)

Intermediate Manners for Adult Dogs
Belchertown: Coming soon!

Reactive Rover:
Belchertown: Saturday, 1/13, at 9:00 am ($199)
Does your dog react (bark, growl, lunge) to other dogs or people?  This 5-session class will help you with handling & troubleshooting skills and give your dog skills to help him stay focused on you.  Class is limited to 4 teams. Reactive Rover requires a separate registration form.  Watch a Reactive Rover class video

Pre-registration is required.  We’ll hold a place for you after receiving your registration form & full payment.  You’ll receive an email confirmation upon receipt.

Unless otherwise stated, classes require a minimum of 4 dogs to run.

Your friendly dog must be healthy & up-to-date on vaccinations to participate in class.

The Big 3 Workshop: Polite leash walking, No jumping, and coming when called.

Belchertown classes are held at PanaRico Farm DayCare at 291 State Street in Belchertown.

What we do

Puppy Kindergarten: Five lessons for your new pup. We’ll help your pup begin to learn:

  • Respond to basic obedience cues
  • Play nicely with other pups
  • Walk attentively on a leash
  • Learn to be comfortable around other people & new things
  •  And more!
Basic Manners: Five lessons for your adult dog.  We’ll help your friend learn/get better at a basic obedience overview, including:

  • Sit, stay, down
  • ​Paying attention to you
  • Walking attentively on a leash
  • Polite greetings
  • Coming when called
  • ​And more!​
Intermediate Manners: Want to take your adult dog to the next level in paying attention to you & obedience training?  We’ll cover the following to get a higher level of proficiency for your dog:

  • Enhanced stay
  • Polite meeting and greeting
  • More challenging & reliable coming when called
  • More challenging “leave it”
  • Take it
  • And more!

Dog Parkour: Looking for something fun to do with your dog?  In this 6-session class, you’ll learn some new handling skills and your dog will learn how to use items in your home & those you find in nature​.  Dogs get introduced to the world of jumping, climbing, balancing over, crawling under, and going around different obstacles in their everyday world.
​Canine Good Citizen: Want your dog to be a Canine Good Citizen?  This class can prepare your dog for the CGC test; we’ll work on all aspects of CGC to help you prepare for the exam.  Class is 5 sessions; an optional 6th session can be added for the exam.
The Big 3:  Work on the most challenging behaviors with your dog!  This is a 3-session workshop to give you & your dogs the tools to:

  • ​Pay attention to you & walk more politely on leash
  • Come when called reliably​​
  • ​Greet politely
